Gulmarg Gondola: Gulmarg Gondola is the second longest and second highest cable car in the world and the prime attraction Gulmarg is known for. Divided into two phases, it ferries almost 600 people per hour to and from the Apharwat Mountain, which is where most of the winter sports happen in Gulmarg. Phase 1 of Gulmarg Gondola ferries people from Gulmarg Resort to Kongdoori Station (middle station). Phase 2 of Gulmarg Gondola connects Kongdoori Mountain to Apharwat Peak. It affords a magnificent view of Nanda Devi, LOC, and Pir Panjal range. 

Gulmarg Golf Course: Famed as the highest 18 hole golf course in the world, the Gulmarg Golf Course is also the longest in India. It consists of a meadow with various varieties of beautiful and rare species of flowers. The flowers are in full bloom during the months of June to September. Visitors are allowed to take their cars inside for a ride and enjoy a ride in one of the most beautiful golf courses in the world.

Khilanmarg: ​​Khilanmarg is a miniature valley set at a 6 km walk and 2000 feet above Gulmarg. One of the most delightful places to be in, Khilanmarg is surrounded by panoramic glimpses of some of the tallest Himalayan peaks. Khilanmarg is a great place for offbeat travel enthusiasts as it is not directly reachable by vehicles. One has to either walk from Gulmarg or take a pony to reach Khilanmarg.

Tangmarg: Tangmarg is a small town in the Baramulla district of Kashmir, almost 13km from Gulmarg. Known as the gateway to Gulmarg, the prime attractions in this tiny hamlet include Baba Reshi Shrine, Ningle Nallah, Baderkoot, Gogaldara, among others. Tangmarg is a major stop for all buses travelling from Srinagar to Gulmarg

Srinagar: Gulmarg tour packages include Srinagar in the itinerary as it is the main entering point in the state. The international airport and the train station is located in Srinagar. Often Gulmarg is visited on a day trip from Srinagar, or includes a 1 to 2 night stay for skiing enthusiasts. Famously known as 'Heaven on Earth, Srinagar is known for the stationary houseboats and gondola-type rowboats- Shikara on Dal Lake. Food in Gulmarg

A visit to Gulmarg comprises not only enjoying the stunning views and partaking in various fun activities but also eating delicious Kashmiri food.

• One of the most well-known dishes to try out is rogan josh which is a spicy red meat curry made with yoghurt and red chillies and is eaten along with rice or roti.
• Yakhni is another famous dish of Kashmir; it is prepared by cooking lamb in a yoghurt-based curry which includes onion paste, dried mint leaves, black and green cardamom and fennel seeds. This dish goes well with rice. 
• You can also try gushtaba which is a dish of minced lamb made into balls and served in a spicy yoghurt curry. It is usually eaten on special occasions.
• If you like fish, then you must try some gadde monje which is deboned fish dipped in a spicy batter, deep fried and served with yummy radish chutney.
• You can also have muj gaad; a fish dish, it is made with radish, spices, herbs and is served on special occasions.
• Do try some Kashmiri mutton kebabs that are prepared on skewers over slow-burning coal.
• For vegetarians, there is modur pulao which is sweet Kasmiri rice made with ghee, cinnamon, saffron, milk, cardamoms and dry fruits.
• Dum aloo is also a popular dish prepared by cooking potatoes in yoghurt, powdered ginger, ginger and other spices.
• Noon tea, a pink coloured chai which is also a little salty is a favourite among locals and visitors.
• For dessert, make sure to have sewai that is made with vermicelli, milk comprising some coconut and dry fruits. Paratha halwa is another treat to have; deep fried parathas are eaten with delicious sooji or semolina halwa.
• Bakshi Restaurant, Nedous Dining Room, Cloves Restaurant, Mist Restaurant etc. are known for their food. 

Shopping in Gulmarg

Gulmarg offers a unique and more personal shopping experience since it does not have big markets and malls but small shops.

• It is a great place to get a pashmina shawl, stole or blanket made of soft wool.
• You could also shop for traditional Kashmiri clothing items such as the pheran which is like a loose gown that goes below the knees and is usually made of wool or tweed, salwar-kameez, beautiful headscarves and more.
• There are shops that sell a wide array of beautiful rugs and carpets that are hand woven, made of pure wool or silk and feature diverse designs.
• You would find some ethnic jewellery made of silver and semi-precious gemstones.
• Paper mache products such as boxes, coasters, vases and others are also sold, as is silverware like tea sets, flower vases, bowls, picture frames etc.
• Kashmir’s walnut woodwork is quite famous so you can opt for a small piece of furniture or home decor item with intricate carvings.
• Some of the popular shopping places include the Ladakh Art Palace, Faiz Shawls, The Attic Snowboard Shop, etc.
