Phuket Walking Street is one of the most popular weekend night markets in Phuket, set up on Thalang Road. The 350 meters long commercial street has a carnival-like atmosphere. Tourists pick up souvenirs, handicrafts, clothing as well as electronic goods very affordably here. Phuket Walking Street is one of the best venues to sample local food with numerous vendors hawking barbecued meat, Thai sweetmeats and other delicious eatables. There is a "Lardyai Phuket" (big market in Thai dialect) sign at the market entrance which is a popular photo-op.

This market is also perfect for experimenting with some exotic Thai cuisine, which includes bugs and insects. A relatively small night market, Phuket Indy Night Market offers a whole lot of shopping and eating options without the large crowds. Located right opposite the Limelight Avenue mall, this night market is locally known as 'Laad Ploy Khong' which translates to 'A place to let go of your goods'. Clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, manicure services, hair braid services are all available starting as low as 100 THB. The entire market area can be explored within 15 to 20 minutes, making this night market a quick stopover as well for many.
The food stalls offer a plethora of local Thai cuisine with grilled meat and seafood, mango rice, Vietnamese Pho being some of the must-try dishes. Add to all this, the live music which one can enjoy with their food and drinks, Phuket Indy Night Market is one we highly recommend.

Chillva market on the side of Yaowarat Road is a fun and exciting place to explore, with its bohemian vibes and shops made out of ship containers. These shops sell a wide array of colourful goodies and local trinkets including clothes and other jewellery. It is also the perfect place to experiment with some exotic Thai cuisine - including some fried insects like grasshoppers and silkworms!

Malin Plaza in south Patong is a bazaar known for its amazing offerings of local food. Some of the popular choices include tropical fruits like mango and star-fruits, Thai pancakes, sticky rice as well as buying fresh fish and getting it cooked by the locals. OTOP stands for 'One Tambon, One Product'. This night market was primarily started as a hub to promote the various traditional handicrafts and food from each Tambon (subdistrict) of the region. While local handicrafts still continue to be sold, much of the market has been transformed into a haven for electronics, accessories, clothing and footwear offered at low prices. The food stalls in this market are in plenty and offer great food which are decently priced. Small bars also dot this vibrant night market in Phuket, with patrons - both local and tourists filling up the seats as soon as the sun goes down.

As its name suggests, the Fun Friday Avenue Market pops up only on Fridays and is a whole lot of fun. Its venue is the boat avenue near Phuket Laguna. Albeit among the smaller night markets in Phuket, this market does host a fairly large crowd. Expect to see tiny makeshift stalls and vendors selling out of their cars and minivans. You will mostly find t-shirts, pants, shoes and trinkets to buy along with a few souvenirs.
The food stalls serve fresh grilled meat and seafood. A variety of soupy noodle-based dishes can also be found here. Keeping things fun as well, expect to also come across a variety of smoothies and juices being sold as well. Be sure to visit the small bar The Mexican, right in the middle of the market. They serve excellent mocktails and cocktails are affordable prices.

Karon Temple Market on Patak road is popular for its cheap and delightful local trinkets, as well as the wide array of local cuisine. From mouthwatering meat skewers to delicious mangoes and passionfruit, the market is sure to whet any appetite. The street food, and Pad thai are other fast-selling favorites of this little market.

Formerly known as Kathu Night Market, Vintage Market Phuket is unique among the night markets in Phuket as the stalls and lights are set up to resonate retro vibes. Located at about 10 minutes from Phuket Town, this night market is relatively new. Expect to see a lot of vintage cars, trucks and motorcycles at the market. Owing to the small size of the market, one can go through the market in about 10 to 15 minutes. The numerous bars and restaurants are colourful and brightly lit, making it an excellent place for photo enthusiasts as well.

Named after the Royal Paradise hotel where it is located, the Royal Paradise Night market is a fully open-air night market in Phuket. If you are looking to shop for items you never knew you wanted, then this market is the place to be. Having started out mainly as a clothing and footwear shopping market along with food stalls, Royal Paradise Night market has transformed into a bric-a-brac hub.
Dressing in plain and light clothing is recommended as there is little to no ventilation and cooling areas. Also, dressing in plain clothes helps with bargaining as vendors might tend to demand higher prices from those who visit in fancy clothing. Most vendors know English and will even help in communicating with those vendors who don't.

One of the most liveliest night markets in Phuket, Bangla Night market in Bangla road caters more to those who are looking to eat, drink and party. One can expect to find a lot of stalls and street food shops selling freshly prepared meats and seafood and even Thai desserts. The open bars and cafes sell cheap beer and other drinks. Scantily clad women and ladyboys can be seen ushering in tourists and even enticing men for their services (stay safely away).

A more modern market than its counterparts in Phuket, the Banzaan Fresh Market is situated inside a building right behind the Jungceylon shopping mall. The numerous fruit stalls inside greet visitors with their bright and rainbow-esque displays. One can expect to find many fresh seafood stalls here in plenty, offering them at reasonable prices. There is also a food court which has many stalls to cater to the many patrons every day.

Located near Kata Beach, Kata Night Market is one of those night markets in Phuket which caters more to tourists than to locals. The great thing about this market is that it is very spacious with ample space to walk around without shoves and bumps when crowded. Shopping for small souvenirs is recommended above anything else. Once done shopping, one can head on over to the food court to enjoy some lovely Thai food at reasonable prices.
