Unnecessarily huge, protruding knob is life-changingly awful

The knob jutting out about 10 inches to the right of the bottom hinge basically prevents you from otherwise using it ergonomically by forcing you to splay your right leg out to avoid hitting it. After using this for a year, I started to have groin issues, requiring physical therapy (and much concern, and wasted time with misdiagnoses of more worriesome-than-musculoskeletal issues) which I believe can be traced back to the unnatural position I've been forced to put my knee in due to it.The most maddening thing is that looking at it, those 10 inches of rod serve no purpose, even. They could have easily gone with a shorter rod.

This item would be tremendous - looks great - easy to install - does exactly what I want - except it wiggles too easily. Not when I type per se, but if I pull up on the keyboard tray slightly, or down on the left side or right side, it's not fully stable, even when everything is locked down. There are where the issue is, is the joint on the black arm. Even after fully locked down, it has some give to it. The main result of this is that - because I have the mouse on the right side, and the keyboard sitting more towards the left - my hands rest on the rest-pad more on the left side, so that at the moment, the keyboard is -slightly- but permanently tilted to the left.The instructions were a bit maddening because the picture shows 6 screws and holes, and there's really 12 - but I figured it out.

No very ergpnomic in a sitting position

When you are in a sitting position, and adjust the tray so that your elbows are at a 90 degree angle, the knob of below the tray hits my knees, making it impossible to sit in a comfortable position. If you are going to use this for only standing up than it is a good a good economic choice. Also the tray is a little tilted to the left.

Fairly straightforward to install, although I had to enlist the help of my spouse to drill it under my desk - which give it its sturdiness. One of the washers did pop out from the tray itself - we had to find a different, slightly longer screw in order to secure it in place. The tray is a good size as I have a small keyboard and ergonomic mouse on it with plenty of room to move around. Also my mouse's is bigger than most (height), but I can still stow away, with enough clearance, the tray with the mouse on it. Very happy with this purchase!
