Motivation Is Interesting

• Work Hard
• Live A Good Life
• Be A Loving Husband/Wife
• Be Charitable, etc...

You would get as many different answers as people that you asked the question to.

Why is that?

Because there are no two people exactly alike.  Therefore, we are motivated by different things.

Why is that important?

Because until you can figure out what motivates the people in your workplace, your family, your neighbors, or your friends, you will never fully understand them.

It is not about getting what you want out of people.  It is about understanding them.

When you truly understand what motivates people then you can start to build a relationship with them that is based on what is important to them. 

Too often we want to base our relationships on what is important to "me" and not "them." 

• Can you see how arguments start?
• Could that be the reason for the high divorce rate?
• Do parents know what motivates their kids?
• Is it any wonder it is hard to make and keep friends?

There could easily be 100 items that can be added to the list.
